Privacy, without the fine-print games.

The short version

LUMA does not collect personal data through the app. Your sign text and settings stay on your devices unless you deliberately export or share them.

Sign content and iCloud

Signs are stored locally using Apple's on-device storage. If iCloud is available, Apple's CloudKit may sync them across devices signed in to your Apple Account. LUMA does not operate an account system or copy that content to a developer-controlled server. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Microphone

Sound-reactive signs use the microphone only while that feature is active. Audio is analyzed in real time on your device to estimate level, beat, or spectrum. It is not recorded, saved, or transmitted by LUMA.

Photos and exports

When you choose to save an export, LUMA requests permission to add that result to your photo library. It does not browse or upload your existing photos.

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple. LUMA receives only the entitlement information needed to unlock features, not your card number or billing details.

Editable sign links

LUMA creates an editable link only when you choose to share one. The link contains the visible sign settings, including its text, but no board identifier, account data, or analytics token. Anyone who receives the link can open an independent copy, so share it as you would share the sign itself.

The sign payload is stored after the URL's # fragment. Browsers do not send that fragment to this website's server. The fallback page reads it locally in the browser and does not save it.

This website

lumaled.app uses no advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, or marketing cookies. The hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as IP address and user agent, to deliver and secure the site. LUMA does not use that information to identify, profile, or track visitors.

Support messages

If you email support, the message and return address are used only to answer your request. Do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for troubleshooting.
